The Association of Chinese Geneticists in America (ACGA) cordially invites you to join the association. The mission of the association is to bring into close contact investigators in the field of genetics, to promote and encourage professional collaborations, and to provide social assistance to its members and Chinese geneticists worldwide whenever feasible.

Incorporated in 1987, ACGA has been working hard to realize its missions. ACGA has organized many national and international genetics meetings, workshops, served as a bridge to encourage collaborations among geneticists worldwide. ACGA has become the biggest association of Chinese geneticists. It has over 200 regular members now. To further promote global communications among Chinese geneticists and to better serve its members, the association calls all Chinese geneticists to join the organization.

Any person residing in the United States, who works in the field of genetics or related to genetics, is eligible to active membership in the Association. There shall be a class of corresponding members open to persons residing outside of the United States, who shall have all rights and privileges of active members except that they have no right to vote in the election of Officers. He/She can run for elected office if nominated by the Nomination Committee and approved by the majority of the Board. Bona fide students of medicine, dentistry and biological sciences are eligible for the class of student membership. Student members have all the rights of active members. Those active members in good standing who retire from their positions or practice shall become emeritus members upon their notification to the Secretary of their desire for this classification.
